Ein Avdat is a spectacular narrow canyon in the Negev, south of Sdeh Boker kibbutz. This hidden gem in the Negev is just over two hours drive from Tel Aviv and is on an ancient Incense route and hence incidentally part of the UNESCO heritage sites.
Ein Avdat National park offers some really interesting hikes up the canyon. At the opening of the canyon, water from numerous springs join up into two deep pools in a series of waterfalls.
